I've tested approx. 1.5 million smoothie recipes over the years and my general feelings are that less is always more when it comes to ingredients. Otherwise you end up with this muddy mess that kind of tastes like old banana. This is a super simple and Jay approved smoothie (makes 2 servings).
2 handfuls fresh spinach (approx 3 cups)
1 large ripe banana
1 pitted date
2 cups oat milk
1 scoop greens powder (we use Amazing Grass)
Handful or two of ice
[ I blend everything but the ice first and then blend again with the ice because my vitamix tends to heat as it mixes ]
