BREAKFAST | Apple Spice Oatmeal

Serving Size: 2
Ingredients:
2 cups old fashioned oats
4 cups milk of choice (dairy/nut/oat)
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp cinnamon divided
1 apple chopped (I used organic Gala apple)
2 tbsp brown sugar
Optional drizzle raw honey
In medium saucepan, bring combine oats, milk, vanilla extract and 2 tbsp cinnamon and bring to a boil. Lower to simmer and continue to cook for roughly 7 mins or until oats are desired tenderness. *(If oatmeal is too thick for your preference add a small amount of water to thin out or start with 2 cups water/2 cups milk instead)
In a small pan over medium heat, add chopped apple, remainder of cinnamon and brown sugar. Cook until apples begin to soften (about 5 minutes).
Add oatmeal to bowls, top with apple mixture and drizzle with honey.
