It's been about a month and a half since I started actively taking necessary steps to counteract my postpartum hair loss. I've gotten a lot of feedback that this is extremely common but there isn't a whole lot of information out there about what can help.

So far, the things that have helped me the most:

  1. Nutrafol Supplements I take a total of 8 pills (4 hair supplement, 2 liver support and 2 stress adaptogens), and I take them religiously every. day.

  2. A combination of Kerastase Genesis Shampoo and Conditioner and Olaplex. I wash my hair every 2-3 days and switch between the two each time.

  3. Less heat. My hair is naturally curly so I blow dry it straight every wash but I've been trying to stay away from straightening and waving as much as possible. (French braid to bed=natural waves without heat)

  4. Oribe Serene Scalp Thickening Spray I've only been using this a few weeks but Little Blonde Book swears by it. I'm not a fan of the peppermint scent it has though.

  5. DIET - Healthy fats are great for hair health (think avocado and olive oil)

  6. Sleep I know, hilarious to say to a new mom. But sleep is necessary to help with stress and stress is a known cause of hair loss and thinning.

I'll post more photo updates in a couple week but feel free to message me if you want any more detailed information about any of these products!
